As with everything, a trend can quickly move from obscurity to mainstream in a very short space of time. How and why these trends dominate popular culture can derive from an assortment of influential factors. Whether a celebrity is endorsing them or they are being aggressively promoted to dominate the market place. Trends come in and fade out. In design we see the presence of colour, texture, typography… consistently change to accommodate the market and seek new consumers.
